SMT Adhesives
Heraeus offers a full range of SMT adhesives that are suitable for markets ranging from automotive to consumer electronics and everything in between. These adhesives are suitable for all common application methods including printing, standard and high speed dispensing, pin transfer, and jetting. Heraeus adhesives feature outstanding adhesion and high SIR values. Adhesives are packaged air bubble free in syringes for all major brands of dispensing equipment. For printing applications, Heraeus adhesives are available in cartridges and packages for enclosed print head applications.

1) The most suitable products for the particular application method are indicated with “++”.
2) For critical glass diodes, PD 860002 SPA is recommended.
3) Recommended for dispensing with Jet-Dispenser (e.g. Asymtek, Mydata)
4) Acc. to IEC 61249-2-21

Handling: Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash thoroughly after handling.

Thermosetting Polymer SMT-Adhesive for Printing Application

Description

PD 955 PY and PR are thermosetting single-component, solvent-free polymer adhesives, developed especially for the surface mounting of SMT components on to PCBs and for use on bare substrates.
The rheology is especially adapted for printing application with thick stencils.
The difference between PY and PR version is in colour only.

Thermosetting Polymer SMT-Adhesive for High-Speed Dispensing

Description

PD 966 M is a thermosetting single-component, solvent-free polymer adhesive, developed for the surface mounting of SMT components on to PCBs and bare substrates. Based on the reliable SMT adhesive PD 955M, this material

has been optimised to avoid stringing. The rheology is adapted for high-speed-dispensing. It allows for very low Z-Height-returns - the height above the board that the dispense head will retract to upon completion of the dispense cycle.
