Atomated selective soldering is currently one of the most interesting areas in electronic production. It con-tributes substantially to process reliability and raises product quality to a higher level. The high capital investment involved, however, has prevented high-end selective soldering systems from being commonly used in smaller companies.

ZIPA-TEC’s selective soldering line now provides new possibilities - especially for manufactures with limited budgets. The SELECT 250/460 und 610 is an introductory semi-automatic selective soldering system which allows for both single spot and heavy-mass soldering.

The SELECT 250 was engineered using our complete experience in the field of selective soldering. Permanent and close contact to our customer provided an invaluable source of information for the development of the new system with ergonomic and space-saving design.

The SELECT 250 can be universally and flexibly used providing both spot soldering by means of the proven single-spot or multi-spot precision soldering nozzles, thereby reducing the production cycle time by up to 70%. Additionally, the engineering of this machine concentrated on easy handling and low maintenance down time.
An integrated handling system provides controlled PCB transport ensuring individual component processing. Various options to adapt the system to the customer’s requirements are also available. The easy operation and off-line programming via ZIPA-TEC Offline Editor make this system comfortable for all operators.

The SELECT 250 can be operated as a stand-alone system or „soldering cell“ providing near „zero-defect“ soldering results. It’s comfortable WINDOWSTM-based 32-bit operating controls and monitors the machine functions and can comfortably and easily be handled via touch-screen.
